Ticket Policies

How to Get Your Tickets

Our Deliver by Email feature allows you to print your own tickets as soon as you receive your e-mail order confirmation. Each ticket should be printed in black and white on standard 8.5x11-inch paper and treated like any other ticket. For your security, each emailed ticket is individually barcoded.

 

If you don't want to print your own tickets, we'll mail them to you, provided we receive your order at least one month before the performance date.

 

The Festival and Avon theatres are equipped with a ticket pick-up kiosk, where you can easily print your tickets by swiping the credit card you used for the purchase.

 

Otherwise, you may pick tickets up at the theatre two hours before the performance. Each of our theatres has its own box office – please pick up your tickets at the theatre at which your first show is playing.


Paying for Your Tickets
We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Stratford Festival gift certificates.

Exchanging Tickets
Tickets may be exchanged for another performance during the same season, provided we receive them no later than 24 hours before the original performance starts. Because our ticket prices fluctuate over the season, you may pay a higher price for your new tickets – unless you make your order before January 31 – see the Pre-Season Promise section below.

Exchange fees apply: $4.50 per ticket for exchanges made in person or through the Call Centre; $2.50 per ticket for online exchanges. Regularly priced tickets cannot be exchanged for any discounted tickets, including rush seating for the same performance. Once you have logged in, ticket exchanges can be accessed through the “Order History” page of “My Account”.

Pre-Season Promise
Need to make an exchange? Order before January 31 and keep your pre-season ticket rates and save exchange fees, when you exchange for the same performance type (e.g. M1, P3) and seating zone (e.g. A+, B).

All Pre-Season Promise ticket exchanges must be made by contacting the Box Office – either in person or by phone (1.800.567.1600).  Pre-Season Promise exchanges cannot be made online.
 
Handling Charges

Online orders: $5.00*;  In-person orders: $7.00*;  All other orders: $9.00*.  An additional $2.00* shipping fee applies to have tickets mailed to you.  *tax applies


Sorry, No Refunds
Tickets may not be returned for refund; however, if you return them at least an hour before the performance begins, you may request a tax receipt for their cash value. We reserve the right to resell all tickets.

Programming, casting and performance schedule are subject to change without notice.

Special Offer Rules
Certain restrictions may apply to special ticket offers you receive from the Stratford Festival. Most of our offers are personal, non-transferable and subject to availability. Some may apply only to specific performance dates and seating zones. Offers to individual patrons exclude group orders (15 tickets or more to one performance date) and generally do not apply to Musical Ticket Offer performances, to previously purchased or exchanged tickets, or in combination with any other offer, unless expressly stated in the offer rules. Discount offers do not apply to already discounted tickets, including Senior and Family Experience tickets. Most offers have specific expiry dates but some may expire without notice. Due to the nature of live theatre, performances, casting, dates and pricing may change without notice.
