Elizabeth Strout’s first novel, Amy and Isabelle (2000), was shortlisted for the Orange Prize and the PEN/Faulkner Award for fiction. In 2009 Strout was honoured with a Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for Olive Kitteridge (2008), a collection of connected short stories. She lives in New York.
