Leslie French

13th season: Movement coach. Stratford: This is Leslie's fifth season coaching for the Stratford company; previously taught movement for eight years in the Birmingham Conservatory. Elsewhere: Leslie is known for her work in the development and application of teaching movement specifically designed to meet the needs of actors and theatre artists. She is the primary movement teacher at George Brown Theatre School, where she has taught and coached for 27 years. She has taught at the Centre of Movement, Equity Showcase Theatre, the Maggie Basset Studio, Ryerson’s Act Two Studio, Theatre Ontario's Summer Intensive, the Charlottetown Festival and many other places. Recently taught the application of Authentic Movement to the creative process and text in Athens. She is a founding member of the Cassandra Project, an interdisciplinary movement research and performance based project.
