Scott Wentworth

19th season: Capulet in Romeo and Juliet and Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof. Stratford (selected): Claudius in Hamlet, the Commander in Fuente Ovejuna, Gloucester in King Lear, Bosola in The Duchess of Malfi, Henry IV, Iago and Macbeth. Elsewhere: Since leaving the Festival in 2008, Mr. Wentworth has had continuing roles on three television series: The Border, Baxter and She’s The Mayor. He portrayed Rothko in Red at Houston’s Alley Theatre and Sky Masterson at the Segal Centre, and directed Romeo and Juliet for the Denver Center. He was made an Associate Artist at Shakespeare Santa Cruz, where he played Brutus in Julius Caesar and Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed Love’s Labour’s Lost and Henry IV, parts 1 and 2, and oversaw the world première of his own adaptation of The Man in the Iron Mask. He is delighted to be back at Stratford.
