Stratford debut: Movement consultant for The Importance of Being Earnest. Nira Pullin is professor, choreographer and Head of Movement at Wayne State University Theatre Department in Detroit, Michigan. She has studied dance and period movement at the Moscow Art Theatre; the British-American Dramatic Academy at Oxford University, England; and in Buenos Aires, Munich, New York City and Chicago. She has worked for Utah Shakespeare Festival, London Dance Week, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art Summer School and the Nonsuch International Summer School in Early Dance in England and Spain, the Michigan and Dayton opera theatres and the Prince Street Players’ national and international tours. She is a certified Pilates instructor and wrote the chapter “Bringing the Past Into the Present: Period Dance on the Stage and in the Curriculum” for the book Movement for Actors by Allworth Press.
