Melissa Rood

13th season: Assistant stage manager of Fiddler on the Roof and Tommy. Stratford: Over 30 productions. Elsewhere: From the Middle East to the Arctic and throughout North America, Melissa enjoys collaborating with theatre, opera and dance artists on new works, old masterpieces and all points between. Training: Sheridan College. Awards: Five Tyrone Guthrie Awards, including the K.P. Hay Award. Et cetera: Melissa recently completed a degree in Social Development Studies at the University of Waterloo, paddled in the World Club Crew Championships in Hong Kong and saw the opening of PAL Place Stratford, for which she serves on the Board of Directors. She proudly volunteers alongside the multitude of Festival artists who donate their time to the many projects that protect both the creative vitality and the vulnerable members of our community.
