Assistant directing includes Yellow Moon: The Ballad of Leila and Lee (Studio Theatre); Edward the Second (Jerwood Vanbrugh Studio, U.K.); and Shelter (Citadel Theatre Young Company). As an actor, Jessica has worked with such companies as Theatre Junction, ATP, The Only Animal, Suitcase In Point, Gravy Bath/Montreal Young Company and Northern Light Theatre. Film/TV: As an actor, she has had roles in the Canadian films The Reporter, I Think I Do and Heart of the Sun, and appeared on the television series Mentors. Recordings: Jessica provides the voice of Tiger Lily for the animated series The New Adventures of Peter Pan. Training: She has an MFA in Directing from the University of Alberta, an MA in Text & Performance Studies from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and King’s College London (U.K., taught collaboratively) and is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada’s three-year Acting Program. Et cetera: Jessica is of British, Irish, Scottish, Polish and Métis heritage. She is an Artistic Associate with Native Earth Performing Arts. She has taught drama over the last six years with the UofA’s Drama Department, the Citadel Theatre’s Foote School and with Free Will Shakespeare Festival’s Camp Shakespeare and their school workshops.
