Mel Martin

24th season: Violin (onstage) in Romeo and Juliet, concert master and Violin in Fiddler on the Roof and Festival Theatre fanfare leader. Stratford: Concert master of the Festival orchestra from 2012 to the present and also from 2000 to 2008. Elsewhere: A member of the faculty at Western University, where his duties have included teaching violin and coaching chamber music. A member of the first violin section of Orchestra London Canada, having performed the role of concert master and assistant concert master on many occasions. Solo appearances include concerto performances with Orchestra London and, most recently, solo and chamber music recitals at Western University. Training: Bachelor of Music at Indiana University and Master of Music at the University of Michigan.
