25th season: Accordion in Fiddler on the Roof. Stratford: Cabaret, Much Ado About Nothing, Fallen Angels, The Lark, Gigi, As You Like It, The Gondoliers, Irma la Douce, Twelfth Night, Arms and the Man, Mother Courage, The Winter’s Tale, Three Sisters. Conducted the Festival Theatre Drama Orchestra in productions of The Merry Wives of Windsor, The Taming of the Shrew and The Tempest, among others, and was music consultant and performer in The Fellini Radio Plays. Elsewhere: Mother Courage, A Man’s a Man (St. Lawrence Centre); Heart of a Dog (Keith Thomas – Pleiades Theatre). Film/TV:Little Gloria, Happy at Last (TV movie – Berthold Carrière) and Raquel Bitton’s Edith Piaf for PBS. Training: Queen’s University BMus, University of Toronto MMus and BEd. Awards: Guthrie Award – Stratford; winner, Gaudeamus Competition for Interpreters of Contemporary Music (Holland); second place in Roland V-Accordion Festival. Eugene has toured North America and Europe as soloist and chamber musician and is currently a happily retired teacher and administrator from the Peel District School Board.
