Stratford debut: Horn in Man of La Mancha. Elsewhere: Jessie currently holds the position of Third French Horn in the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra. She joined the orchestra in the fall of 2012, after an eight-month run of Billy Elliot, the musical, in Toronto. Other musical productions Jessie has played include Spamalot, Little House on the Prairie and Cats, and she has subbed in past Stratford Festival shows Tommy and Jesus Christ Superstar as well as Mirvish Productions’ Les Misérables, The Wizard of Oz and The Sound of Music in Toronto. As a freelance orchestral musician, Jessie has played with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the National Ballet of Canada, the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and the Hamilton Philharmonic. Training: Jessie holds a Master of Music from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Music from McGill University, where she studied with James Sommerville. Et cetera: Jessie lives in Toronto with her husband and three kids, Evan, Kate and Andrew. She is thrilled to join the Stratford Festival for her first season.
