This policy, for Canadian Actors’ Equity Association members only, now provides benefits for illness and work-related accidents through Crawford & Company. It is not intended to replace Ontario Health coverage but, in the event of an accident, injury, or illness, to provide additional benefits. In addition to payments for loss of life, limb, sight, and certain extraordinary medical expenses, the policy insures your earnings up to a specified level for lost time due to accident or illness. Reimbursement is to the client, not the physician or hospital. This means that you must pay the bill, get a receipt and submit a claim using the online portal to Crawford & Company.
