Bus Funding applications are now open for the 2026 season.
Please read through this page carefully and complete the application form at the link below.
Access to arts opportunities in schools has changed over time. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, publicly-funded elementary and secondary schools in Canada and the U.S. may apply for financial assistance to subsidize a portion of bus transportation costs associated with their field trip.
Funds are limited. In order to give all students the opportunity to experience live theatre, this funding is designed to support schools facing barriers to attending the Stratford Festival. Decisions are based on several factors including distance travelled, socioeconomic circumstances and the total number of funding applications received.
Independent schools will be considered only if participating in Fall for the Bard, a program designed to support access to Shakespeare productions in the fall.
Important Info
- A PDF or screenshot of a yellow school bus quote is required to submit your application. Missing documentation of a yellow school bus quote may result in ineligibility.
- Pre‑approval notices expire after 6 weeks. If a booking is not made after the expiry date, you will need to reapply.
- Funding is provided by way of electronic funds transfer (EFT) or, for U.S. schools, wire transfer. Cheques will not be issued. Failure to submit your final invoice and EFT documents by the specified deadline may result in your funding being forfeited.
If there are any issues, please email busfunding@stratfordfestival.ca.
