CANCELLATION FAQs

Important information about your show cancellation

We apologize for the inconvenience of the cancellation and assure you we make every effort to avoid cancellations and to disseminate the information as soon as a decision to cancel is made. Our goal is to give as much notice as possible as we know most people are travelling to Stratford. In some cases we simply don't have advance warning ourselves. If we cannot proceed, we let ticketholders know immediately. All patrons are advised upon purchase to watch their email and our website for notifications.

We trust that this FAQ will assist you with your future plans.

1. What tickets have been put on "on-account?"
The amount you paid for your tickets to the specific cancelled performance, along with any parking, drink tickets and picnics for this same performance have been placed "on-account" for future use.

2. How do I access my credit?
When shows are available for you to book, you'll be able to use your credit as a payment method. Your credit will not expire, so you don't need to do anything now.

When it comes time to pay, you will see a box that reads "Redeem your on-account balance?" on the payment page of our shopping cart. Once checked, you will see your available funds. Please make sure to press "apply" to apply these funds to your order. This page is the last step and is the same place where you would typically enter your credit card or other payment information.

3. What can "on-account" funds be used for?
Patrons can use their non-expiring on-account funds in a number of ways: future theatre tickets, membership and donations, and through our online theatre store.

4. I want to donate the value of my tickets to the Festival. How do I do that?
Once you log into our website, please click on "My Account" at the top of the page. You'll be taken to a page where you can donate the value of your tickets, in full or in part, in a single step. If you're having trouble, our box office is happy to help at 1.800.567.1600.

5. What about my ticket(s) for the Stratford Direct Bus?
Your Stratford Direct Bus ticket is still valid unless we hear from you otherwise. You may contact our Box Office to cancel or rebook your trip at 1.800.567.1600.

We invite you to still enjoy your day in Stratford, visiting your favourite restaurants and enjoying a day of shopping and an enjoyable walk by the Avon River.
