DISCOVERY EXPERIENCES - ONLINE CAMPS

Single-Voice Writer's Experience: July 19-25 (daily hours vary)

Give dramatic expression to your unique voice as you develop a monologue based on selected Shakespearean works. Guided and mentored by a professional playwright, you'll craft an artistic statement and share it with other participants before presenting your monologue. You'll also meet working playwrights and gain insight into the role of dramaturgy in new play development. At the end of the week, actors from our company will bring each monologue to life in a staged reading.

Who: Ages 15-18
When: Sunday to Saturday (seven-day Experience)
Where: Online platform, group discussions and activities, password-protected
Cost: $175 plus tax

REQUIRED TECHNOLOGY

As this course is entirely online, certain technologies are required that fall outside the scope of a traditional classroom:

• A computer or tablet able to run a recent version of web browser such as Chrome, Safari or Firefox.
• A reliable high-speed internet connection.
• A webcam (internal or external) digital camera, or similar device, to stream video.
• A microphone (internal or external) to record audio, plus speakers or headphones.
• Minimum floor space at home of approx. 8' x 8' in which to move, stretch and participate in exercises.

Creative Careers Experience: July 13-17

Are you interested in learning more about the plethora of careers in the arts? Meet some of the theatre professionals who make the Stratford Festival such an international success.

• Monday Musicians: Learn more about the many roles of musicians at the Festival.
• Tuesday Talk with a Technician: Meet members of the production team, and learn about lighting, sound, crew work and more!
• Wigs and Wardrobe Wednesday: Explore the wonders of costume and hair design.
• Transformational Thursday - Inside Character Development: Hear from members of the acting company about getting into role and other aspects of their personal artistic process.
• Fascinating Fridays: Meet some of our fantastic directors and gain insight into their unique artistic visions.

Who: Ages 16-18
When: 9:30-11:30 a.m. (separate registration for each of the five days)
Where: Online platform, group discussions with Q&A, password-protected
Cost: $40 plus tax, per day. Register for three days or more and receive a 10% discount

All ages are encouraged to participate, get on your feet and get grooving to songs from Stratford Festival musicals of the past.

Children under the age of 12 should participate with a parent or guardian.

Registration is available until noon on the day of your workshop.

Classes are led by Stratford Festival all-star Stephen Cota. Stephen has not only acted and danced across our stages. His accomplishments also include:
