Kimberly-Ann (Kimmy) Truong is a theatre
performer, creator and instructor hailing from Northwestern British Columbia.
Kimmy has been teaching and choreographing for over a decade. Kimmy most
recently played Cinderella in Into The Woods (Talk Is Free Theatre) and
Ophelia in Kronborg-The Hamlet Rock Musical (Charlottetown Festival).
Other prestigious roles include Cynthia in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert! (Drayton
Entertainment), Fredrika in A Little Night Music, Columbia in The
Rocky Horror Show (Stratford Festival) and Mimi / Gigi & Ellen u.s. in Miss
Saigon on Broadway. Kimmy is proudly Vietnamese-Canadian and strives to
inspire Asian artists and all aspiring artists to follow their dreams and
pursue creative endeavours. Kimmy also aims to strengthen the industry by
prioritizing arts and theatre in our education system and normalizing the
presence of BIPOC. She believes “there are no limits to what anyone can
achieve, especially if they start early and have access to incredible programs
such as this. I am extremely excited to work with these up-and-coming artists
because I know that together, we will inspire the World to grow and change for
the better through art.”
