As charismatic as he is cunning, as strangely seductive as he is utterly ruthless, Richard, Duke of Gloucester is the very embodiment of lethal ambition as he manoeuvres and murders his way to the throne of England, sardonically revelling in his own villainy every step of the way. But once he has reached the top, the only way left to go is down – and in Richard’s growing roster of vengeful enemies, none are more menacing than the ghosts of his past.

2022: Queen Margaret in Richard III and Countess of Rossillion in All's Well That Ends Well. 29th season. Ms McKenna is thrilled to be in the new Tom Patterson Theatre's inaugural company. At the old TPT, she spoke her first professional Shakespeare as Helena in 1982, and took the theatre's last bow as the Madwoman of Chaillot. She worked with both her husband Miles and son Callan Potter there. Her TPT roles include Richard III, Medea, Mother Courage, Queen Elizabeth I, Queen Margaret, Phèdre, Constance, Hannah Jelkes, Lady Torrance, Andromache, Klytemestra, Fraülein Doctor Mathilde von Zahnd, Ella Rentheim and Anne Driver in Good Mother. Recently, she directed the première of The Wonder of it All (Here for Now Theatre/Lighthouse Theatre). Her last stage appearances were in the première of Yaga (Tarragon), The Penelopiad (Grand) and as Shylock in The Merchant of Venice (The Shakespeare Company). In 2019, she was invested into the Order of Canada.

2022: Sir William Catesby in Richard III and Fletcher in The Miser. Fifth season. Emilio Vieira is a Toronto-based actor-creator. In 2020, he and actor-playwright Ellen Denny launched Sudden Spark Collective, a production company aiming to warm pandemic-weary hearts with tales of love, laughter and perseverance. Their first production, february: a love story, a theatre-film hybrid about dating six feet apart, was received by audiences around the globe with resounding success. Their second production, Above Ground Floor, tells a poignant, charming tale of a long-term care home resident during the pandemic. 2022: Prince Edward in Richard III. Stratford debut. Ezra Wreford is a lifelong resident of Stratford and attends Stratford Intermediate School. After participating in various school plays and having enjoyed a number of Stratford Festival productions, Ezra decided to pursue his interest in becoming a part of the acting company. When the opportunity arose in 2020 to audition for young Duke of York, described as "a cheeky young thing, bright beyond his years, given to eavesdropping and not shy with his opinions," it seemed like a natural fit. He began rehearsals but sadly his acting career was postponed. Fortunately, Ezra was able to re-join the production as York's older brother. He is excited to make his professional stage debut as Prince Edward in this season's production of Richard III.

Among his other accomplishments, Mr. Cimolino was instrumental in establishing the Festival's Endowment Foundation, which now stands at $81 million, as well as in the renovation of its Avon Theatre and the creation of its Studio Theatre. In 2018, Mr. Cimolino and Executive Director Anita Gaffney launched a $100-million campaign to build the glorious new Tom Patterson Theatre, a campaign that had already achieved 70% of its target at the time of its public launch. He also spearheaded the Festival's involvement in a joint project with CUSO International, Canada's international volunteer co-operation agency, to establish a performing arts and educational centre in the city of Suchitoto, El Salvador.

While working in England as an art director for film and television (BBC and Channel 4), she also studied Architectural History at Oxford University and Historic Conservation at Oxford Brookes University, and she has worked for English Heritage, the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, founded by William Morris, and for Condé Nast at The World of Interiors magazine.
