In 2000 he directed Paul Gross as Hamlet, and in 2009 he appeared in Morris Panych's The Trespassers.     2018: Director of To Kill a Mockingbird. Sixth season. Stratford (appeared in): Breath of Kings, Fuente Ovejuna, Palmer Park, The Odyssey, Harlem Duet, Twelfth Night, Our Town, Treasure Island. Elsewhere: Nigel Shawn Williams is the former Co-Artistic Director of Factory Theatre in Toronto, and is a four-time Dora Award winner as an actor and director. His theatre credits include five seasons at the Stratford Festival and four seasons at the Shaw Festival, as well as directing in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver. His productions have garnered critical and artistic success, and he continues to collaborate with theatre companies throughout Canada. Nigel is also heavily active in new play development and has helped develop over 40 new Canadian plays, working as an actor, director or dramaturge. All of his success is due to Robin.

He has been working at these disciplines off and on for the last 30 years. He is frequently maimed, disemboweled, dismembered, crucified and/or air-locked on your favourite locally-shot television programs and films. He often lends his voice to the animated programs which your kids/grandkids/great-grandkids/socially-awkward uncles currently binge. Most recently he inaugurated the title role in the première and Western Canada tour of Onegin (Arts Club), co-composed original music (with Torquil Campbell) for Angels in America: Millennium Approaches and Perestroika (Arts Club), and scored/sound-designed for Middletown, Lady from the Sea, Trifles (Shaw Festival), Tempest Replica (Kidd Pivot Frankfurt RM) and Betroffenheit (Kidd Pivot/Electric Company). He makes his home in Vancouver with his partner and frequent collaborator, Meg Roe, and their three children.
