Inspired by Northrop Frye’s Massey Lecture, “The Educated Imagination,” this series, hosted by producer and broadcaster Garvia Bailey, explores how arts education shapes lifelong learners, fosters critical thinking and nurtures future generations.
Acclaimed actor John Lithgow (joining remotely) and producer Perry Simon will screen their PBS special Art Happens Here With John Lithgow, followed by a Q&A. The program spotlights Lithgow’s passion for arts education as he joins students and teachers in four arts disciplines: dance, ceramics, silk-screen printing and vocal jazz ensemble. Watch, learn and ask questions, as Art Happens Here emphasizes the transformative power of arts education in students’ lives.
Support for The Meighen Forum is generously provided by Kelly & Michael Meighen and the T.R. Meighen Family Foundation.
