Margaret Atwood on Birding, Conservation and Caring for the Natural World

Margaret Atwood is not only one of Canada’s most celebrated writers; she is also a longtime environmental advocate and a champion for bird habitat and bird protection. In 2003, Atwood and her late husband Graeme Gibson co-founded the Pelee Island Bird Observatory (PIBO), devoted to the study and observation of migratory birds and the preservation of their natural habitats on Pelee Island. Join Atwood for a high-flying conversation about PIBO, the challenges facing bird populations and the growing appeal of birding among younger generations.
