Einstein and After
Saturday, August 17
The idea that everything in the universe is actually “relative” – connected, but also disconnected from any fixed point – has been making our heads spin for a hundred years. So where are we in all this – a world of mysterious quantum laws that no one really understands? Who are we now?

Panellists:
Doreen Fraser, associate professor of philosophy at the University of Waterloo, with a particular interest in the philosophy of physics, philosophy of science and history of physics
Chris Smeenk, professor of the History of Science, Philosophy of Science and Philosophy of Physics at Western University
Lee Smolin, theoretical physicist and faculty member at the Perimeter Institute, and author of (most recently) Einstein's Unfinished Revolution: The Search for What Lies Beyond the Quantum

Moderator:
Nahlah Ayed, host of Ideas
