PEER INTO THE PLAYBILL

MISERS, MONEY & MORTALITY

Lazaridis Hall, Tom Patterson Theatre
Thursday, September 29, 2022
10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

For Harper in The Miser, money equals life: he hoards every dollar, believing his fortune will award him immortality. Psychologist Dr. Peggy Richter (psychiatrist and the head of the Frederick W. Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre and Professor of Psychiatry, University of Toronto), and others consider the human impulses to hoard, to fear death, and to love money. This panel will be moderated by Qasim Khan (Charlie in The Miser).
