PEER INTO THE PLAYBILL

SEEING UNSEEN

Lazaridis Hall, Tom Patterson Theatre
Thursday, July 21, 2022
10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Shakespeare weaves the problems with the perception of truth into his iconic story of Hamlet. In today’s society, privacy is hard to come by. David Lyon from the Surveillance Studies Centre at Queens University, Margaret Jane Kidnie from Western University, Hamlet director Peter Pasyk, with actor Michael Spencer-David (Polonius), gather to discuss espionage and surveillance in Shakespeare’s world and compare it to the data mining of today.
