Samra Habib’s new book, We Have Always Been Here: A Queer Muslim Memoir, reveals the tenacious spirit that has broken through the expectations of society and family in Pakistan and Canada. In a candid conversation with company member Diane Flacks (Nathan the Wise), the writer, photographer and activist describes challenging the assumptions of her faith, art, culture and sexuality to embrace her true identity.
Samra Habib has written for the Guardian, the New York Times and the Globe and Mail and was named "One of the 21 LGBT Muslims who are changing the world" by Advocate magazine.
