Food is a global language and a universal connection between all people. As we celebrate Global Theatre this weekend, join us for an immersive experience of flavours and spices in this West-African culinary adventure.

About Chef Victor Ugwueke

Lagos-born Chef Victor Ugwueke is the owner of Afrobeat Kitchen, serving up his take on New West African Eats bringing together authentic recipes, diaspora dishes and global ideas. He grew up in his mother's restaurant and opened his own location. He has worked in different kitchens in London, UK and here in Toronto. Chef Victor offers a contemporary spin on African cooking with an emphasis on seasonal and local ingredients, along with an exciting flavour profile that reflects his Igbo heritage from the Eastern part of Nigeria. Through music and food, he is sharing his ‘faaji’ (the pleasure from having a good time) out of Afrobeat Kitchen.
