A Screening of The Miser

For love or money? How about both?

Siblings Eleanor (Alexandra Lainfiesta) and Charlie (Qasim Khan) know that their widowed father, a paranoid old skinflint named Harper (Colm Feore), won't approve of their romantic choices. Most of all, they're worried about what that'll mean for their inheritances. When Harper announces startling marital plans of his own, the siblings scramble from one hilarious misunderstanding to the next in the pursuit of both love and money.

“a richly comic reward” – Toronto Star

This lively Molière comedy is modernized by the sharp adaptation of Ranjit Bolt and the direction of Antoni Cimolino. Filmed during the Festival’s 2022 season, this production’s impeccable timing and physical comedy will have you laughing the whole way through.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with some of the creatives.
