June 18 – October 13
8 to 11 pm
Geraint Wyn Davies hosts a series of broad-ranging dramatic readings inspired by the season’s themes and performed by members of the company.

Sunday, June 18: Albert Speer by David Edgar
Plucked from obscurity to be Hitler’s architect and Minister of War, Albert Speer became the second most powerful man in Nazi Germany and the closest Hitler had to a friend. David Edgar’s panoramic adaptation of Gitta Sereny’s definitive and magisterial biography tells the epic story of a man whose devotion to Hitler blinded him to the worst crime of the 20th century.

Thursday, September 28: The Rover by Aphra Behn
Amid the fast and furious world of the South American carnival, three wandering cavaliers roam in exile while three women looking for love and fighting for a little freedom explore this vibrant, frenzied, dizzying world.

Friday, October 13: The Honest Whore by Thomas Dekker and Thomas Middleton
A comedy by two of Shakespeare's contemporaries, The Honest Whore careens irreverently through all the strata of Milanese society (as a thinly disguised stand-in for the underworld of Jacobean London).
